Tangerine Tango

So the word is out from Pantone that the colour for 2012 is Tangerine Tango (or 17-1463 for the purists out there). Whilst we're still undecided to go all-out in head-to-toe orange we're all for a bright pop of colour and scouring our shelves we think we can definitely bring some glowing warmth along with effortless design. Teaming just a few items together will freshen up any space or even a new accessory can brighten an old outfit.

"Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy." Leatrice Elseman, Executive Director, Pantone Colour Institute.

Field of Light

After a hectic day Christmas shopping in Bath why not take some time out at the new light installation at the Holburne Museum by Bruce Munro. In the gardens of the museum, surrounding the new extension, is a beautiful 'Field of Light', a sea of relaxing lights in muted rainbow hues. With the nights getting longer and longer this art work creates a tranquil respite allowing the viewer to escape into the shimmering colours.

For another sight after dark make sure you visit the Bath Christmas market - on till the 11th December. Our Bloomsbury stall is full to the brim of our favourtie goodies, and pleanty of fantastic stocking fillers!
